As an indie game developer, I've spent the last four years designing and developing games. It began with The Dragon Game, which I created my senior year of high school out of pure curiosity. Then I joined Video Game Development club, where I built the first level of Things Go Bump in the Night with a team of 3 peers. Over winter break of my freshman year, I built Cookie Chaos for a game jam, a 2-day competition on itch.io. Finally, I built Globetrotter in Spring of 2022 to both learn Unity 3D and to see if I could develop a whole game by myself. Aside from the Dragon Game, the others were all built in Unity/C#.
Globetrotter is a 3D exploration videogame where players puzzle their way through levels on all seven continents in search of the ultimate treasure. Players will learn about the local culture, solve riddles, and decode hidden messages using different types of ciphers. There are eight unique locations around the world, including Zimbabwe, Iceland, New Zealand, and more!
While working in the mines, our beloved Ted got trapped by a cave in! Little does he know, that he's not alone. Help Ted escape werewolves, rock golems, ghost fish, bats, and even a dragon! But, be careful, for you never know what can happen when the lights go out...
I built The Dragon Game in Java 8 during my senior year of high school. It is a 10 level, 2D adventure platformer where you play as a dragon and collect eggs. You can also collect puzzle pieces, which unlock a special egg. Once you've collected an egg, you can then play as that dragon. Hop over spikes, ride the tide, and fight an ogre!
As the game was made in Java and not a game engine, it cannot be uploaded as a playable build. Read through the documentation on the left for a detailed explanation of the game and the mechanics.
