As a returnee intern, I managed the KOS scrum intern team in feature development, review, and delivery of business-critical enhancements. I built an Excel VBA program to create XML and PMP files that run a multi-million-dollar laser in KOS yard. I designed, created, tested, and integrated critical maintenance features for a multitude of KOS applications.
I developed a stand-alone web-app, Model Viewer (MV), for viewing 3D models and progressing KOS parts. This included designing, building and testing features to view, filter, and search part data. At the end of the summer, I conducted 2 training sessions about MV to KOS Mechanical and Civil Engineers and Management staff.
I also created an innovative text-parsing console application in C# that combined 45,000 IFC files into one file. This reduced run-time from the current industry standard of 2 hours to less than 10 minutes. I then converted the resulting IFC file into an SVF that was displayed in MV.
As a member of the Signature Performance Design Studio capstone project team, I design and develop our C# API to interpret the frontend JSON query, access multiple Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and pull relevant data about patients. Data is then packaged and returned to medical providers. I have presented my work to Signature Performance stakeholders on a monthly basis, including the Director of IT and the Chief Medical Officer.
I worked with the junior/senior Raikes School Design Studio capstone project to create a ticket management software for Nelnet. I created several features utilizing a React JS frontend and a C# backend. One of these features was transferring tickets between users, requiring a UI panel and backend endpoints. I spoke with team sponsor on project guidelines and assisted in code documentation. For my work, I won Intern of the Year!
I worked with the junior/senior Raikes School Design Studio capstone project to design a robot for navigating confined spaces. We flew to Corpus Christi as a team to attended confined space safety training at Kiewit Offshore Services. We got to see real-life confined spaces as we toured the oil rigs on site.
